Nigel Hartley currently holds the post of Director of Supportive Care, a Senior Management position at St. Christopher’s Hospice.


He has worked in end-of life care for over twenty years more recently working as a Senior Manager at the St Christopher’s Group in London. He has previously held posts at both London Lighthouse, a Centre for those living with HIV/AIDS, and also Sir Michael Sobell House, which is a large Hospice in Oxford. He has a postgraduate qualification in management from Ashridge Business School, England. He has an international reputation as a musician, music therapist and manager and also is an experienced public speaker, teacher and published writer. He has authored numerous articles and chapters and is the writer of two books. The latter, ‘End of Life Care – a guide for artists, therapists and arts therapists’, was published by Jessica Kingsley Publications in 2013.
