Katharine Stambollouian is a penultimate year medical student at GKT School of Medical Education, King's College London on the Graduate and Professional Entry Programme. Prior to medical school she worked in a variety of roles within the Financial Services industry. She also holds an MSci in Chemistry from Imperial College London. She is interested in Medical Education, particularly innovative ways in which medical students mightdevelop important skills such as resilience, leadership, empathy and emotional intelligence.

Having recently completed a collaborative visual arts-based project which was new to medical education and aimed to promote empathy and resilience in medical students, artist Emma Barnard, consultant Stephanie Strachan and medical student Katharine Stambollouian will be discussing the importance and relevance of art in medical education and their learning from the project pilot.
